[Dynasty Travel] 8D7N Taiwan Explorer - Day 3
15 December 2010Day 3 (Taitung)
The breakfast at Dong Hwa Resort was a plain one, consisting of porridge with simple condiments. The morning was spent at an Aboriginal store selling expensive lingchi and baby dear foetus boasting immense health benefits, followed by a marble factory where we posed for photos with our zodiac signs.
We then set off on another long drive to Taitung County which offered views of the Pacific Ocean.
We stopped at an animal farm en-route where we got to feed horses and goats with green shoots. We were shivering as the temperature dipped and skies opened up to a drizzle.
By late afternoon, we reached Guanshan Park. We took a boring walk around the deserted park; there was nothing much to see, no locals around, and no tourists too.
Our hotel for the night was the Naruwan Hotel. After watching the aboriginal performance, we went to the entertainment centre where we played table tennis and pool for free! We then ventured out of the hotel to the 7-eleven round the corner to get cup noodles and heated can drinks for supper.
