Day2 | Despite setting the alarm for 7am, I was lightly awakened by the effervescent chirping of birds outside the windows. With mama and baby Coven not due to wake up in another hour, I decided to sneak a workout at the gym.

 

But the plan was thrown out when I caught the neon red sun peeking through the horizon at the lift lobby.

 

We were itching to bring baby Coven on an overseas trip. Despite knowing that it may be fraught with challenges. And that vacations may no longer be as relaxing as before.

 

So we needed a preliminary trial to someplace not too far, someplace that we are not too unfamiliar with.

 

And so... Batam here we come! Again!

 

We are back in Batam!

 

Ya, I know right. We might as well apply for PR ya?

 

But we have compelling reasons to be back.

 

Day 2 | Breakfast buffet spread @ Terrace Café was rather spectacular: pastries, salad, oriental and local food, egg counter, cereal, juices and hot beverages.

Courtesy of a family friend, we inherited an all-expenses paid 3D2N stay at a one room suite @ Holiday Inn Resort Batam.

Stressed and overworked, we couldn’t resist another cheap getaway to Batam. With more experience from the previous trip, we are more astute in picking the ideal package from the plethora of options available.

 

Our choice: Pacific Palace Hotel + Buffet Lunch and no massage for $35 (+$27 for ferry +$4 for guide/driver).
