3D2N KSL + Triple Park Day 2

18 September 2016

Day 2 was a day of eat, sleep and play!

After a rejuvenating night’s rest, we woke up to a luxurious breakfast @ Infusion Cafe. The buffet spread includes fruits & salad, bread & pastries, local & international cuisine, egg/ roti prata/ noodle counter, cereal & milk, juices & hot beverages.

The ambience was pretty cosy with the wispy tunes of Kenny G's soprano saxophone in the air.

Again, baby Coven didn’t want his nap so we took him to the mall where he roamed the vast empty spaces in the indulgence of the air-condition.

Baby Coven loves to 'beep' the nose of plush animals!

And not very long after, we roamed into Sushi King for lunch. Prices of sushi range from MYR$3-7 although the taste isn't fantastic: probably about Umi Sushi standards.

After lunch, we came across a toy car rental (RM6 for 10 mins) so we put baby Coven behind the wheel of a scarlet Rolls Royce and the adults took turns to 'drive' him remotely (and jerkily) around the mall.

After this short activity, it was eating time again as we tucked in the famous D Laska! For just RM$6, you get a bowl of Penang laksa with soft yet springy noodles in a sour, sweet and spicy broth made with sardines, pineapples and sour plum juice (I think).

We pretty much suffered a food coma after that, concussing on the comfy bed for 3 hours.

Swimming was next as we put on our swim wear and headed for the Dinosaur water theme park @ level 7.

Entrance is free for hotel guests but costs RM50 for adults and RM30 for children. To call it a theme park is a tad contrived; it's more like a public swimming pool equipped water slides, giant dumping cans and huge roaring dinosaur statues and billboards.

But boy did we have loads of fun in the modest theme park going on the slides over and over again.

So as the pattern goes (eat...sleep...play...eat...), we had dinner @ D' Shanghai (again) before retiring to our room for the night.

|TRAVEL TIPS|

[Tour Package] Forget about booking with Exclusive Tours & Travels. They actually chain book their packages with WTS so just book directly with WTS.

[Tour Package] For WTS, different buses are deployed each time so you will not be allowed to keep your luggage on the coach when you enter the theme parks. Tip: Pack light! Although that’s always a challenge when travelling with a baby.

[Tour Package] Due to the semi-fixed bus pickup schedule, you will have only ~6 hours at each theme park. Timing is tight so do plan beforehand if you wish to make the most of the visit.

[Travelling with Baby] Do not feed baby food/snacks that they have not eaten before in case they develop an allergy reaction.

[Travelling with Baby] If your baby has a sensitive stomach, you may want to bring along some bottles of 'Singapore' or local water. For this trip, we brought a 2L bottle and boiled some each day to fill up our boy’s thermos.

[Hotel] If you have room preferences, do ask the agency to put up prior requests with the hotel although their default reply is: room request is subject to availability upon check-in. For this trip, we requested for a room with a king-sized bed (since baby sleeps in bed with us) and on a non-smoking level.

[Hotel] Soundproofing in rooms is poor so expect to hear conversations in the hallway, lift chimes and running water from toilets upstairs. Tip #1: request for a room further away from the lift lobby; Tip #2: close your toilet door especially when sleeping at night.

[Hotel] Request for city-facing (east-facing) rooms to catch the sunrise or moonrise.

[Wifi] The in-room wifi is set to log out automatically. To overcome that, click on ‘Keep Connection’ on the page loaded after logging in, and click ‘Change’. The connection should be changed from ‘OFF’ to ‘ON’.

[Drinking Water] If you need more water than the 2 complimentary bottles, the gym has a water dispenser where you can fetch both hot & cold water.

[TV] The Sharp Aquos TV in the room has a USB port. You may want to bring along a thumbdrive loaded with your favorite videos. Short of charger heads? Connect your device via usb for makeshift charging. Remember to remove your thumbdrive after that!
