3D2N KSL + Triple Park Day 3

19 September 2016

Day 3 was Sanrio Hello Kitty & Thomas town day! The pick-up time to Puteri Harbour was 12 noon so there was ample time to take a leisurely breakfast and do some last minute shopping.

The family theme park is housed in a 4-storey air-conditioned (yeah~) building:

Ground Floor - ticketing and shop;

Level 1 - Sanrio Hello Kitty town;

Level 2 - Pingu, Barney, Bob the Builder and Angelina Ballerina;

Level 3 - Thomas Town.

With entrance tags strapped around our wrists, we charged up the escalator to Hello Kitty Town. The 1 pm Hello Kitty show was about to start when we entered so we hung around the entrance to take photos.

When the show begun, we were expecting baby Coven to shriek with excitement on seeing Hello Kitty in real life. But the music was so loud that he started to frown. About 2 minutes into the show, he could no longer contain his fear and broke into tears.

We quickly sought refuge in the Wishful Studio. There, we embellished Hello Kitty cookies with chocolate bits and orange jam 'glue' while snacking on them in the process.

The cookie making section had a weird smell which we later found out to emanate from table mats which either haven’t been washed in years or were not sun adequately after washing.

While we were busying customizing our own badges with colour markers, Little Melody dropped by for a photo.

After a quick lunch @ Kenny Rogers where we shared a half-chicken meal (RM32.50), we re-entered the building and decided to skip the rest of Hello Kitty Town due to time constraints.

As soon as we reached Level 2, we bumped into Barney! Baby Coven took an instant liking to the gentle purple giant and started playing with him.

At Bob the Builder's, there was this indoor playground where baby Coven stumbled about the playmats and even went down the tall slide thrice!

The adults had their share of fun too at Pingu’s Igloo which houses arcade machines such as hoops, mole-whacking, air-hockey etc. The best part is they are all FREE! No need to insert tokens, just press start button and play!

At the highest level, Thomas town is unanimously our favourite! It is like an indoor fun fair with bumper cars, trains rides, mini Ferris wheel etc.

They weren’t too strict on the height requirements so baby Coven went on a few rides too!

After a fun-filled but exhausting afternoon, we went for dinner @ Sushi King before gathering for our pickup back to Singapore @ 6.30 pm. But there were some last-minute drama as we suddenly recalled that our luggages were still in the lockers! By then, all the doors were already locked as it was closing time. Thankfully we managed to enter through the last opening door and did a swift recovery of our luggages.

|TRAVEL TIPS|

[Tour Package] Forget about booking with Exclusive Tours & Travels. They actually chain book their packages with WTS so just book directly with WTS.

[Tour Package] For WTS, different buses are deployed each time so you will not be allowed to keep your luggage on the coach when you enter the theme parks. Tip: Pack light! Although that’s always a challenge when travelling with a baby.

[Tour Package] Due to the semi-fixed bus pickup schedule, you will have only ~6 hours at each theme park. Timing is tight so do plan beforehand if you wish to make the most of the visit.

[Travelling with Baby] Do not feed baby food/snacks that they have not eaten before in case they develop an allergy reaction.

[Travelling with Baby] If your baby has a sensitive stomach, you may want to bring along some bottles of 'Singapore' or local water. For this trip, we brought a 2L bottle and boiled some each day to fill up our boy’s thermos.

[Hotel] If you have room preferences, do ask the agency to put up prior requests with the hotel although their default reply is: room request is subject to availability upon check-in. For this trip, we requested for a room with a king-sized bed (since baby sleeps in bed with us) and on a non-smoking level.

[Hotel] Soundproofing in rooms is poor so expect to hear conversations in the hallway, lift chimes and running water from toilets upstairs. Tip #1: request for a room further away from the lift lobby; Tip #2: close your toilet door especially when sleeping at night.

[Hotel] Request for city-facing (east-facing) rooms to catch the sunrise or moonrise.

[Wifi] The in-room wifi is set to log out automatically. To overcome that, click on ‘Keep Connection’ on the page loaded after logging in, and click ‘Change’. The connection should be changed from ‘OFF’ to ‘ON’.

[Drinking Water] If you need more water than the 2 complimentary bottles, the gym has a water dispenser where you can fetch both hot & cold water.

[TV] The Sharp Aquos TV in the room has a USB port. You may want to bring along a thumbdrive loaded with your favorite videos. Short of charger heads? Connect your device via usb for makeshift charging. Remember to remove your thumbdrive after that!
