[Free & Easy] Hong Kong 2017 Day 5+6

09 December 2017

Day 5 | Day 5 started with an extravagant breakfast buffet at Chef Mickey (~S$50 per pax).

But well it was still acceptable for the Disney experience, photo opportunity with Mickey and the sumptuous food spread (there's even sashimi).

The little one was abit intimidated by the towering Mickey Mouse.

Walls in the restaurant are adorned with beautiful pencil sketches of the the Disney characters whipping up a storm in the kitchen.

As it was a Saturday, the park was more crowded than the day before. But from our prior visit, we knew exactly which rides/ shows we wanted to go for.

We continued our magical adventure with a train ride on the Disneyland Rail. We had wanted to take it the day before but the ride was closed by late afternoon.

Alighting at Fantasyland, we went up the Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

The little one started off apprehensive but after settling in, the little daredevil kept cranking the shaft up to send the elephant soaring despite mama’s vehement orders to go lower.

Lunch again @ Royal Banquet Hall. Tale as old as time~

We went on Cinderella Carousel again, this time on the sledge. Having been afraid of flashing electronic lights and loud noises since young, the little one had to be coaxed to go on the ride.

Flights of Fantasy parade!

Teabreak time with icecream and popcorn (both included in the Klook meal package!)

The little one woke up from his nap just in time to watch Mickey, Donald and Olaf prance around spewing Cantonese in Mickey and the Wondrous Book.

Again our stamina ran out evening time so we decided to retire early to our hotel room after dinner.

But not before a ride on the Jungle River Cruise with thrilling installations like lurking predatory reptiles and animals, howling aboriginals, rapid swirls and fireballs! A tad too thrilling for the little ones.

Dinner again @ Explorer Club Restaurant.

Delicious spread but the little one only had eyes for the cream puffs.

As diurnal beings, the setting of the sun heralded the end of our visit as we shuffled towards the exit.

Bye bye Disneyland~ we’ll visit again.

Day 6 | We had a relatively modest but satisfying breakfast at Hollywood and Dine before checking out.

With prior arrangements, a taxi promptly picked us up at the whistle of the porter.

After checking in, papa made a last ditch attempt to find the golden Hong Kong double decker bus replica that the little one had been eyeing the whole trip. And… we found it!

Icing on the cake for the little one’s maiden airplane vacation!
