Our first stop in Boston was to Harvard University, the alma mater of Barrack Obama, Mark Zuckerberg amongst numerous notable people.

 

It was my first long haul flight: 12 hours to Frankfurt followed by 8 hours to JFK. That's almost a day in the air. I kinda enjoyed it though; eat, sleep, watch movie.

Day 3 started with another garden visit; this time to Tai-Yi Ecological Leisure Farm (台一生態休閒農場).

Our first destination of Day 2 was Shilin Guandi (士林官邸). Took a morning stroll in the park of the former residence of late ROC President Chiang Kai-shek and his wife Song Mei-ling. We did not enter the villa though. Guess the ‘yummy’ theme did not warrant the $100 NTD entrance fee into the villa.

We enjoyed the last trip so much that we decided to visit Taiwan again with the same agency but on a different package.

 

This year, we signed up for the Yummy Taiwan package which promises the finest selection of renowned delicacies all over Taiwan.

Day 8 (Taipei)

 

Day 8 was our free&easy day with a 1-day metro pass and ticket to the International Flora Expo. The weather became unexpectedly hot and the exhibits were not exactly attractive so we left after just a while.
